Thomas Award for Civic Leadership and Community Change for her impact on children, youth, and families in her community.
Per a press release, Ruth Davis was honored Tuesday as the 14th awardee, recognized for her impact on children, youth, and families over the last year and beyond.
In 2021, she spearheaded a effort to lead youth to collect more than 500 pounds of food for the Mt.Moriah Baptist Church Food pantry when needs for food security were increasing due to the CO-19 pandemic.
Davis has been using her work with scouting to impact her community for nearly 40 years, serving in Spartanburg through the Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
